Are you ready to embark on a journey of personal growth, community, and purpose? The Oasis on Orangewood offers more than just affordable housing; it’s a Christ-centered environment designed to support you through transitional seasons of life. We believe in intentional community and a shared commitment to building a firm foundation.

Our application process is designed to help us get to know you and ensure The Oasis is the right fit for your journey. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1a: Property Tour and Meeting the Community (Optional & Informal)

This step is designed to help you get a feel for our community and property. If you attend any of our public events, you’ll naturally have a chance to see the property and meet us. If you’re interested in a more personal tour and meeting, please get in touch with us, and we’ll be happy to schedule a meeting.

Step 1b: Prescreening (Required)

This is the initial formal step in our process. We’ll ask for essential information, including your contact details, gender, how much space you’re looking for, your personal story, any hardships you’ve faced, and your hopes for the future.

Step 2: Application (Invitation-Based)

Upon successful Prescreening, when we have a vacancy that aligns with your needs, you will be invited to submit a complete application. This is a more thorough survey and includes a non-refundable fee to cover the cost of a criminal background check and a credit check.

The application is also completed through our property management app.

Step 3: Lease Discussion (Personal Meeting)

This is a crucial step that sets The Oasis apart. We are not merely a landlord-tenant arrangement; we are here to provide mentorship and accountability for living out a Christian life, even amidst hardships in a world that often makes Christian living challenging. We offer much more than a standard landlord, and in turn, we ask more from you. All of this is detailed in our Community Member Agreement (lease agreement).

You’ll need to read the agreement thoroughly and will have a dedicated opportunity to ask questions during a sit-down discussion with us on the property before moving in.

Step 4: Move-in (Welcome Home!)

Once all steps are complete and the agreement is signed, we’ll help you get your belongings here and settle in comfortably. We look forward to hosting a welcome dinner for you as you officially become a part of The Oasis on Orangewood family!
